The football season, which actually never goes away, has arrived. 15 channels of football! omigod! Talk about football widows. But there's another more insidious category of widow: the woman who has lost out to the computer. Guys, this computer thing - it's worse than the car thing, the stereo thing, the football thing, the remote clicking thing. It really sucks! It has no season, no location. It's a gadget thing gone out of control.
Yeah, there have been lots of things...there was the hunt thing and the club thing and the golf thing and the affair thing. There's always been a thing so a guy can get away from it all. Mostly from the woman in his life. I think it's good to have time apart, but having time apart together is worse. It's endless. Unless the power goes out.
I was more angry about it at first, but like an affair, I know it has to blow over - in about 50 years or so.......maybe. In the meantime, I'll find my own thing.
