Sequence: stringing pictures together.

Developing math: somewhere a picture is involved as in division where the piles evenly passed around become a basis for logical abstraction.

Feelings have pictures? Feelings are abstractions? Except for the four physiological feelings which may just be connection between the physical and the abstract.

Sequence arises from watching the river flow or other transformation like a flower blooming which requires imagination and visual thinking to find the points of commonality that link the stages of transformation or to make artificial abstract breaks to organize the transformation or sequence into discrete steps.

Where does time come from? The sequence?

We are taught that sequences are finite and orderly.
