From 1996 to 2005 I published this shiftAlt ezine as a quarterly. Mostly it was a framework for my rant, "start here." I've grouped the rants by topic. I hoped the process of grouping would clarify for me what I'm interested in. There's quite a bit about lifestyle and philosophy. Can I still consider a career in sociology?

Just as important is what I don't write about, like time and history. Both of those topics serve as structural backgrounds, but are incidental to the topic at hand.
